CUB Boom- Gear List Additions
Hi Cubs,
Hope you are all getting your gear ready for Camp. It is going to be a fantastic Weekend.
Few more things to bring with you. That I didn't mention in the gear list. Sorry I was to excited and forgot to mention :-)
- A backpack (small) to carry your snacks, drink , and supplies around during the day
- Your Drink Bottle ( Camp is Thirsty Work!)
- A plain T Shirt or Pillow case or tea Towel for Screen printing
Just a reminder that Opening Parade is at 0800hrs (8:00am) Saturday Morning. So you'll need to be at camp Eagle eye at around 0730hrs (7:30am) Saturday Morning dressed in your Cub Shirt, Scarf and hat. We will be Camping in Site 3 at Camp Eagle Eye, So Look for the Coffs Harbour Pack Flag and the big Black and white Flag like the one at the top of this post.
After Opening Parade you will be able to change into your group activity shirt (The red one if you have one) or something else to enjoy your day. You'll need your cub shirt for closing parade so don't forget a coat hanger to be able to hang it up in your tent.
The weather is looking a bit changeable so please don't forget a raincoat.
Looking forward to seeing you all there

Message for Parent Helpers At CubBOOM
Hi Cub Parents/Carers whom are attending Camp,
Thank you for your support by attending CubBoom. Your assistance will be invaluable in making the Camp a success for all the Coffs Cubs attending.
Please be advised,
Parent Helpers need to provide all their own sleeping arrangements. That is your own tent , Sleeping Mat , Sleeping bag etc. Of course you can share tents, but I will leave that up to you to organise. We will allocate an area in our designated Campsite for you to set up your Tents.
The Cubs are allocated tents, provided by the Group. Set up and ready to go. There will be a Parent helper and a Youth Helper allocated to each Cub Tent to assist the leaders in management of the Cubs.
There will be a briefing prior to the activities starting on Saturday Morning to explain the details. The Sixers or Second assigned as Tent Captains will look after tents and be advised to only seek assistance from helpers or leaders when they cannot deal with any issues.
You will need to bring along a Mess kit. We will feed you but you need to bring something to eat with!
A Mess Kit comprises of
Plate
Bowl
Mug
KFS set ( Knife,Fork And spoon)
Tea Towel
And anything else you wish to make life a little more comfortable at Camp. But you need to carry it so pack light! So Do not forget to bring a camp Chair. Trust me after a day at Camp you'll need it!!
You also need to be aware that it is a bit of a hike (100m plus) from where you are able to park your car and the Campsite we have been allocated. So please plan accordingly.
There will be more information coming through in the next few days leading up to camp. So keep your eye on the Blog.
Regards
Bagheera
Scouts - Hike is ON
For everyone coming on the hike, (which is going ahead),
make sure you are prepared for unsettled conditions. Windy with the odd shower.
If wearing a wide brim hat, make sure it has a drawstring
otherwise a cap is fine.
Bring you E1, $10 for tonight's meal.
Carry enough food, snacks and water to the whole day.
The surf will be big so a swim might only be at the
Dolphin marine magic area.
See you there. 10am!
