Non Scout event for scouts who would like to try Orienteering.

Hi Scouts,

 3 orienteering events coming up over the next 3 weeks.  They are based in Woolgoolga (one of them even starts at the Woolgoolga Scout Hall).  You are warmly invited to attend any (or all) of our events.

Woolgoolga Orienteering Series #1
Start: between 4.30pm and 5.30pm
Finish: by 6.30pm

Assembly Area: Woolgoolga Foreshore Reserve.

The format is a "Score Event". There are 20 control sites marked on your map. Those numbered 1 - 7 are worth 10 points each. Those numbered 11 - 16 are worth 20 points each. Those numbered 21 - 27 are worth 30 points each.

You may visit as many control sites as you wish, in ANY ORDER. The aim is to get the biggest Score possible within the time limit. The time limit for this event is 60 minutes.

You will need to use the free MapRun6 App to record and register your course.

There will also be a VERY EASY line course for beginners and families with small children. This event has CONTROL FLAGS in the field. We will provide you with a timing card to record which controls you visit and how long you take.
