Scouts - ANZAC Day - 25 April 2020

Coffs Harbour Scouts will be taking part in ANZAC day in a very different way this year.

As well as the amazing ANZAC/Easter lanterns we made last term. We have a selection of activities to take part in:
  • Dawn Service - for those of us who are keen to take part in "Light up the dawn". At 6am on ANZAC Day, go to the end of your driveway or stand on your balcony and listen to a brief commemorative service. Together – even while apart – we’ll remember those who served and sacrificed. For more information and how to access the service live go to https://www.rslnsw.org.au/news/light-up-the-dawn-on-anzac-day/
  • Visit the Virtual War Memorial Australia in an online meeting;
  • Build an ANZAC Day wreath and create a small memorial in your yard; (We're including our ANZAC lanterns here as long as you included ANZAC theme)
  • Make ANZAC biscuits and discuss their history in an online meeting;
  • Show the ANZAC Spirit by checking in with an older Australian, or family member by phone or online;
  • Create a care pack that could be sent to a Veterans’ Home or the local RSL Sub Branch; or,
  • Donate to the ANZAC Appeal.

Please see the email from Pioneer Tracker with more details.

Note: Next term

we have a plan for the first half of term. See the link on the left, or Pioneer Tracker for deatils.

Yours in Scouting,

Butch, Quoll & Wombat (Matt)
