2019 Australian Jamboree Information Evening for all Scouts and their Parents

Dear Parents and Guardians,
On Wednesday 17th May at 7pm, we will be having an information evening for both parents and Scouts wishing to attend the 2019 Australian Jamboree to be held at Tailem Bend in South Australia.
This is a opportunity of a lifetime for all Scouts who will be aged 11 to 15 on the 1st January, 2019. This includes just about every Scout in the Coffs Harbour Troop. Those that will be too old, may wish to attend as a Venturer Helper.
The Jamboree is the pinnacle for all Scouts in their lifetime. It is 14 days of fun, adventure and great friends made. The Scouts will do many great things, including Water Activities, Wide game in Adelaide City, and many other great things onsite including Climbing Walls, Abseiling, Flying Fox etc.
This will be my 6th Jamboree, 1 as a Scout in 1992 and the last 4 Jamborees as a leader. I can't wait to go back, and share this with your kids. You will not regret it.
I know that it is just over 18 months away, but we need to get organised. You don't need to lock into anything at the moment, but the sooner we start to get organised, we can get some fundraising started to help subsidize your child going to the Jamboree.
On Wednesday night, there will be Videos of previous Jamboree's, talks from some of the Scout's who went to the last Jamboree, and I will be talking to all parents about costs, fundraising and what will happen over the next 18 months.
I strongly advise you all come along and find out about the once in a lifetime adventure for you Scout, than you can go home and discuss with them if they would like to go.
I have  attached the 1st Newsletter from the AJ2019, form the organizing committee.
