Scouts - ON TUESDAY NIGHT with the Venturers

Scouts this week is presented by the Ventures as a joint night on TUESDAY night 2nd. 7pm.

For the scouts preparing to transition into the second best section in scouting, I urge you to do your best to come on Tuesday night to see the Vent's in full motion & meet the crew & have some awesome fun doing it.
Bring a jumper and a torch, you will be out of the hall during the night.

We'll be doing the shopping for rally on Friday morning so as to have the freshest of food before we leave. Your menus should be on the blog also. Please print and bring with you on Friday. I will shop for your frozen stuff for pick up Friday.

Term 3 - Joey Scouts

Hi Joey Scouts and Parents,

Just a quick note to remind you all that we start back this Tuesday 5pm to 6pm!

This term is action packed and will see us earn two badges and do a lot of work on a third badge!

There will also be a Bring A Mate Night - Joey Scout Olympics to help celebrate the Rio Olympics and also a special construction night to celebrate our wonderful Dad's and Grandad's!

We also have a Caring & Sharing family camp towards the end of term.

The Term program will be put up later tonight on the blog, as well as emailed to each family.

****URGENT**** Cuboree Closing Date FRIDAY 29/07/2016

Hi Cubs,

Just a reminder that the closing date for Cuboree applications is this Friday 29/07/2016

If you want to attend you must have your application in prior to Friday

All Cub parents that wish to attend also need to contact Braydo via email to get further information. As there is additional paperwork and a WWCC (Working with Children Check)  required for Parent helpers to attend.

Bearskin 2016 - END OF THE WORLD

What is Bearskin?

Bearskin is a 2 day Dragonskin styled Initiative weekend for the Scout Section organised by the North Coast Region Venturers! Scouts will be given a Map and a list of coordinates for each of the challenges, and it is up to them to plot the points on the map and plan a route for the weekend to maximise their chances of winning! 

Scouts can use Bearskin for their Pioneer Level Campcraft Expedition with prior approval of their Troop Council and the Bearskin Leadership Team.

Who?

Scouts whom have gained their Scoutcraft can attend Bearskin in teams of at least 4 (don't worry if you don't have enough Scouts to make a full team, we can join teams together so no one misses out!). 

Venturers, Rovers and Leaders can attend for a awesome weekend of socialising with fellow scouters and running bases for the Scouts which come through. There is a prize for the best base! So get your thinking caps on!

When & Where?

Bearskin is held from the 3rd - 4th of September 2016 in the Barcoongere State Forest, NSW.

Cost

The cost of the event goes towards Permits for the use of the State Forest, Hire of equipment such as Generators and Toilets, and other miscellaneous costs endured.

$30 - Scouts

$10 - Venturers, Rovers, Leaders

**Cubs** Thursday 21/07/2016 - Camp Fire Night

Hi Cubs,

Hope you all had a great time in the Holidays.

We are starting term 3 off with a campfire at the Hall. There will be Marshmallows to roast while we discuss the activities we'd all like to see in the program for term 3.

Parade will be at 6:30 followed by a quick presentation by Braydo for all those who are interested in attending the upcoming CUBOREE. A reminder that Registrations Close for Cuboree very soon!!

So all Cub Parents who would like to know more about Cuboree please stay for the presentation.

Scouts - Start Wednesday Night

I hope you all had a good holiday.

Scouts start back this Wednesday Night. Hope to see you all there.

As well, we need final numbers for State Rally this week. Cost is $100 for Rally Transport and food while at camp. On top of this you will need spending money for food on the way down and back. We will be leaving Coffs Hall on Friday 5th August at 8:30am and be returning approx 10:00pm on Sunday 7th. Please email me braydon.gleeson@ncrscouts.com.au to let me know that you are coming or have further questions. We will register those coming on Wednesday night at Scouts.
