Rescue A Cub...

 

Thursday 2nd May CUBS & JOEYS

We are back.. This week we are going to rescue some cubs.. make sure you have practiced your knots so you can rescue your fellow cubs. 

Also bring your best ideas for activities so we can make a plan for this term. 

Drop off 6pm Thursday pick up 7.30 at the Scout hall.

Region Rally Prep

    Scouts Wednesday 1 May 2024

 This week we are getting organised for region rally. We will be organising patrols, setting our menu and checking pack weights so we are ready to roll for this weekend. 

Please bring your pack and gear for the weekend if your already organised. We will also have some gear  to loan if you need a pack or stove for the weekend. Remember you want your pack weight to be around 20% of your body weight. Below is a sample list to help get you started.

Meet at the hall for a 6.30 start pick up 8.30. Red shirts. 

ANZAC DAY MARCH

ANZAC DAY 2024 LEST WE FORGET 

 Coffs Harbour Scout Group will be Marching Proudly in the Coffs Harbour ANZAC day march.

Those participating in the March we will be Meeting at the Skate Park end of Park Ave Between 8.30 and 8.45 

The March proceeds down Park Ave along Gordan Street and into Vernon St to the Cenotaph for the ANZAC Service. All Scout Members are to wear full Uniform, pants in either black, Navy blue or tan and covered shoes, it may be wet so a rain coat hand is also a great idea. 

After the service, the CEX club supplies a children's lunch for those that marched. Parents welcome to walk along side the March and collect your child after the service which will likely go for approximately 1 hour

Thursday 11th April CUBS & JOEYS

Its excursion time... Bring your green thumbs we are off to the community gardens at Bruce King Drive.

Please note change to drop off and pick up times. 

Also please make sure you have responded to the operoo.

Red Shirts This Week. Please bring a raincoat, water bottle and a head torch.

Drop off 5.30pm Thursday pick up 6.30 at the Community Gardens Bruce King Drive.

Pizza And Survival Shelters

   Scouts Wednesday 10 April 2024

 Since we ran out of time last week (Sorry Guys) we are going to actually build some shelter's this week.

If everyone can bring an every day item that they think can be used for providing shelter, something that's in your bag, car, house or even your boat if you own one.

Please bring $5 for pizza and drinks. 

We will also have some Sausage survival snacks for people who don't eat pizza.

Meet at the hall for a 6.30 start pick up 8.30. Red shirts and 

please bring a water bottle, raincoat and head torch

Navigation & Survival Night

This week we will start learning about Survival and what it means.

First off we are learning about shelter and how to find out where you are...

Please bring a phone with data services if you have one.

Also if everyone can bring an every day item that they think can be used for providing shelter, something that's in your bag, car, house or even your boat if you own one.
